Dies Enrote to Hospital - Attempted Sucide Proves Fatal To Sam Wagner Of The Norborne Community.

Sam Wagner, a well known resident of the Norborne community for many years of his life died enrote to a Kansas City hospital on Wednesday afternoon after a suicide attempt had failed. Wagner who made his home with Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Hesterberg, two miles northeast of Norborne attempted to suffocate himself by attaching a hose to the exhause of his automobile. The incident occurred shortly afternoon Wednesday at the farm in Norborne vicinity. He was found by neighbors who immediately summoned the aid of Dr. B. C. Cole of Norborne. He was revived and was enrote to the Kansas City hospital when the end came.

Sam Wagner, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Wagner was born on August 18, 1872 and departed this life at the age of 74. He had been in failing health for the past few years his condition having grown worse since January.

He leaves to morn his passing two sisters and one brother. They are Mrs. Mary Weber of Fowler, Kansas; Mrs. Tony Albrecht of Norborn, and John Wagner of Oklahoma. He is also survived by a number of other nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

The body was removed to the Deitch funeral home in Norborne where it was prepared for burial. Funeral arrangements have not been completed at this time pending the arrival of relatives from a distance.
